KENNETH Maredi said tea bags are his bread and butter.
He does paintings and collages using tea bags.
Kenneth (25) from Alexandra, east of Joburg said he collected used tea bags from her neighbours and families.
He said creativity is a way of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality.
“Tea bags are doing wonders for me. They make my artwork look beautiful.
“I’ve gone beyond painting to transform tea bags into dimensions pieces like gowns, bathing suits, and tote bags,” he said.

Kenneth, the founder of Trigger Thabiso Heart Art, said he wishes to teach children art in Alexandra.
“Involving children in art early and often allows them to explore new possibilities and experience the world in a hands-on environment,” he said.
Kenneth said he was inspired by artists such as Enock Mlangeni and Heath Hlatshwayo.
“Their artwork is stunning and shows a lot of emotions.
“Self-expressive art helps people to find new depths to their thinking that they may not have realised. Art allows individuals to release stress healthily,” he said.
