WORLD-renowned designer and founder of Maxhosa Africa, Laduma Ngxokolo, is a new and proud dad.
The 36-year-old creative from Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape took to social media to reveal that he and his long-term girlfriend, Nwabisa Bunde welcomed their first baby on Sunday, 24 September.
They named her Qamata, which means God the creator and protector of heaven and earth in Xhosa.
“Became uTata ka Qamata on 24/09/2023, so excited about this new journey of being a father to our precious little girl. Shout out to uMama ka Qamata for carrying our bundle of joy for so long.
“Lastly, shout out to all the medical professionals who ensured the journey was a success and fun one. Many thanks Dr Sihlabele, Dr Silver, Dr Ubomba,” he wrote.
The couple has been together for six years and has kept their relationship private.

In an interview they had with YouTube magazine, Art of Superwoman in 2021, Nwabisa opened up about their relationship and said: “We have been together for four years, and not everything is all rosy. There are ups and downs like all relationships. Our challenges have made our relationship stronger.”
Celebville has been filled with new babies and pregnancies in the past few months.
Ayanda Thabethe also recently welcomed her second child.
In May, TV presenter Masechaba Khumalo welcomed baby number three while Tembisa Mdoda-Nxumalo also announced that she was pregnant.
