Real Housewives of Joburg star Olwethu Leshabane has just come back from Advertising Week New York to represent Mzansi and Africa as a whole.
Advertising Week is a worldwide gathering of marketing, advertising, technology and brand professionals in New York, USA.
The mum of three was part of a group representing the continent last week and she spoke to SunBuzz about the experience.
“Advertising Week is coming to Africa in February 2023 so the SA team, led by Trevor Ndhlovu from BrandReserve Co, approached my company Art of Superwoman (AoS) to be part of the programme and play a role in the Future Is Female segment of the conference.

“This is part of the activation for next year and also experiencing the platform at a global level,” she said.
Olwethu was also a judge for awards called the Future Is Female Awards and also had a sit down with Emmy-winning TV journalist, Dhominique Murphy. Talking about the sit down with Dhominique, she said: “We talked about how content in all its various forms, from social media to TV and filmcan play a significant role in influencing people’s lifestyle choices and buying decisions For example, movies can play a strong role in tourism. People travel around to experience places they’ve seen in movies.”
“For the awards, I was mainly looking for transformation and inclusion for all women.
“Women that have a clear intent and plan for that had my heart and vote,” said Olwethu.
