AFRO-SOUL singer and songwriter Nomcebo Zikode wants the public to know that her battle with her previous record label is not over.
This comes after several reports surfaced that they have mended things up.
The Joburg-based musician said she had noted with great concern the false reports circulating across mainstream media that all is well in her widely reported dispute with Open Mic Productions.
Nomcebo is still fighting over what's hers with the label.
The Grammy Award-winning singer has been fighting her battles with the record label since 2022.
Sibo Mhlungu, CEO of Independent Media Group Africa (IMG), said a court order was obtained in 2022, and ordered Open Mic and Nomcebo to enter a joint venture agreement.
The court wanted them to settle the outstanding issues between the two.
Sibo said these outstanding issues were made public when Nomcebo announced that she had not been paid any of her due royalties from the record-breaking global hit single, Jerusalema and her project, Xola Moya Wam.

He said this remains the case to date.
Her team said despite the court order and Open Mic’s commitment to remedying the matter, they have failed to come to the party per the stipulated timelines.
“Nomcebo is eagerly awaiting the finalisation of this matter so that she can continue with her recording plans.
"She wants to put out new music to further her career as a recording artist,” Sibo said.
He said they are unhappy with Open Mic’s delay, as they had jointly undertaken to adhere to clearly stipulated timelines on submission of all required information, which remains outstanding, thus prolonging the matter.
He said they would go back to court should this not be resolved in the coming weeks.
When Daily Sun contacted, Open Mic Productions director Nkateko Maluleke said they haven't seen the statement regarding this matter.
"I have not seen the statement, but we will not be commenting on this issue at this stage," he said.
