She recently received an honorary certificate from Tunisia for the song Jerusalema.

She announced the news on her social media platforms where she also insisted that she wrote the song.

She wrote: “I don’t care what you say but I’m flying the South African high. I’ve made the Zulu nation proud. Ngiyibhalile (Yes, I wrote it) and sang it in my own language. This is the biggest song that will always be recorded in history. This is my truth. Thank you, Tunisia for awarding me this honorary certificate. I’d also like to thank other countries that have honoured me for composing and singing this song.”
