RENOWNED female DJ Notrix, whose real name is Nomagugu Mubi, has been nominated for Best Female DJ by the Mpumalanga Music Awards.
The awards will be held at Emnotweni Arena in Riverside Mall in Mbombela on 1 December.
Speaking about her nomination, DJ Notrix said this was testament to her talent.
"The nomination is testament to my talent, hard work and dedication to my craft. I'm certain to bring home the top award," she said.
Born and raised in Mataffin, Nelspruit, DJ Notrix's musical journey began at a young age when she started participating in musical activities at school and church.
In 2009, she turned her passion into a profession and became a professional DJ.

Her career took off in 2011 with her first international gig at Coconut Club in Mozambique. She has continued to expand her horizons by taking her talent beyond the borders of Mzansi.
She has graced stages in Tanzania, Eswatini and Mozambique, leaving a lasting impression on international audiences.
Notrix has also attained skills and qualifications as an artisan, showcasing her determination to excel in multiple areas of interest.
Her versatility and passion for music have earned her recognition and opportunities to perform on prominent radio stations such as Ligwalagwala FM, Rise FM and Sedibeng FM.
In 2017, she won the best female DJ award at Sunrise Women Awards.
Jubilation Magagule, the chief executive officer of Torha Water, commended DJ Notrix's contributions to raising awareness of social issues.
"Her contributions to raising awareness of social issues, such as GBV through her appearances and platforms dedicated to these causes, further exemplify her commitment to using her platform for positive impact," he said.
