INTERNATIONALLY acclaimed DJ Nkosinathi "Black Coffee" Maphumulo has been involved in a severe travel accident on a flight. 

The 47-year-old DJ was on his way to perform at a show in Mar Del Plata, Argentina, and the incident resulted in unforeseen complications and left him with injuries. 

His team released a media statement confirming his accident on Wednesday, 10 January.

“We can confirm that he is receiving the best possible medical attention and is surrounded by a supportive family and team," said the statement. 

“In respect of his privacy, we kindly request understanding and patience from the media and his fans. Despite the challenges presented, Black Coffee is optimistic and recovering well." 

Daily Sun contacted Black Coffee publicists Samantha and Neo.

Their phones rang unanswered.
