AWARD-winning TV series Gomora will be replaced by a new telenovela called My Brother's Keeper on Mzansi Magic.
The telenovela with 130 episodes will premiere on Monday, 23 October at 7.30pm on DStv channel 161.
It will feature Mzansi's famous actors such as Wiseman Mncube, Zola Nombona, Sdumo Mtshali, and Lindani Nkosi.
Gomora, which scooped the Golden Horn Award for the Most Popular TV Soap/Telenovela in 2012, will end in its fourth season.
Director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net, Shirley Adonisi, said they have always offered their viewers the best with local entertainment.
“With the upcoming premiere of My Brother's Keeper, we’re pleased to bring another well-written and expertly produced series to our DStv Compact viewers.
“Telenovelas are a much-loved genre, and we look forward to growing our impressive and versatile content slate with a show that is sure to keep us all intrigued and entertained,” she said.

The telenovela is produced by Rhythm World, a production company behind Umkhokha: The Curse.
Wiseman plays the character of Nqubeko, the headstrong and overambitious son of a mistress tired of being sidelined by his father.
Nqubeko decides to break the rules of "ukungena" by going after his brother’s widow, Fakazile (played by Zola Nombona), the woman who holds the controlling power in the Shabalala family empire.
