A MAD woman is set to join the cast of e.tv drama series Imbewu: The Seed and turn Zithulele’s world upside down.

And she’ll be played by former Isibaya actress Gcina Mkhize, who will join as Nozi, and blackmail and extort Zithulele, played by Raphael Griffiths.

Making the announcement, e.tv said Gcina would make her debut on Thursday, 28 July.

“On 28 July, seasoned actress Gcina comes to e.tv weeknights at 9pm, playing the character of Nozi,” the channel wrote.

It added that Nozi would witness a crime committed by Zithulele, and demand R35 000 from him.

“Nozi first enters as the witness to a hit-and-run involving Zithulele and Sibongile, which left a girl dead. She starts to blackmail Zithulele and presses him for more money until he threatens her with a gun. While she’s just trying her luck, she does squeeze R35 000 out of him. Later she fuels Mzwandile’s suspicion that Zithulele may have been involved in his niece’s murder. Whichever way the story goes, things do not look good for Zithulele,” it continued.

Only time will reveal where this twisted road will end.
