THE reality game show, The Perfect Picture, is returning for season 2.

This time, celebs such as Lasizwe, Luyanda Mzazi, Zahira Marthy, Ivan Roux, Anele Zondo, Jonathan Boynton-Lee, Tshego Koke and Christall Kay will compete against each other every week, taking photos in the most unexpected locations.

Canon, which specialises in optical imaging products, is behind the show.

The company hosted a press conference officially announcing the new season on Thursday, 8 June, at the Melrose Gallery in Melrose Arch, Joburg.

The show debuts on Sunday, 23 July on e.tv.

Speaking to Daily Sun about the new show, Lasizwe said people should expect to see their favourite celebrities being wild and very competitive.

“This season of The Perfect Picture is a wild card. We’ve got celebrities from across all genres, an Afrikaans singer, a TV personality from Dubai, musicians and other extraordinary media personalities, and it’s insane. The challenges have been challenging, and the viewers will get to know their fave celebs outside of what they know them for,” he said.

The YouTuber said people will also get to see a different side of him.

“People know me as a child star, and I’m consistently growing. So it’s definitely going to be a beautiful space for people to see me outside of the caricature with the wigs and being funny,” Lasizwe said.

TV presenter and actress Anele Zondo said she joined the show to learn more skills.

“I decided to be part of the show because I am at the stage where I believe there’s so much more I can learn beyond being in front of the camera. I was interested in learning more skills of being a photographer,” Anele said.

Photographic marketing specialist at Canon South Africa, Warren Nicholas, shared what the show is about.

The Perfect Picture is a nine-episode reality series with 10 local celebs who take part in multiple challenges and learn everything about photography in all aspects - from technique, genre, lighting, camera setting and more.

“We have a diverse group of people that allows everyone a huge target audience. Anyone from TV personalities to musicians and different types of personalities get to be part of the show,” she said.
