Rapper and presenter Nomuzi "Moozlie" Mabena shared her Christmas Day plans.

CHRISTMAS Day is a time for good food, family and loved ones.

Daily Sun asked some celebrities how they spent the day.

Rapper and presenter, Nomuzi "Moozlie" Mabena said she spent time with her family, and she was responsible for decorating the house and tables.

“My sister moved into a new house with her husband, so we officially took over Christmas which has been a bit of a culture shock for my family, but we absolutely love it. Everybody comes over to her house and she cooks. She's a chef, so the food is always amazing. She made cute Christmas themed treats for the kids, and I was in charge of decorating the house and the tables, and we watched Christmas movies.

"When the food was ready, we ate and hang out with the kids and just had fun. To be honest, it turned out to be a lot of TikToking! We also celebrated with a lot of drinks and shots, and it was just a fun day. For me, it’s always just Christmas at my sister’s house and the whole family comes over for good food, good drinks and good vibes,” she said.

DJ and radio presenter, Ms Cosmo said she always spent time with her family and this year was no different.

“This year for Christmas, as I do every single year, I spent it with my family. My family and I generally decide who is going to be hosting Christmas lunch at our respective houses.

“This year, we went to my aunt’s house who we haven’t seen in a very long time, so I was quite excited about that. Christmas is usually the only time I get to see some of my cousins because we are all so busy throughout the year. That's what I love the most about Christmas and Christmas lunch because it brings us all together before we move into the new year,” she said.

For radio presenter, Carol Ofori, spending Christmas with the family is extremely important. This year, she was looking forward to reuniting with her mum as she had spent the festive season at a resort in northern KZN.

She said:

“I was so excited to be spending Christmas with my mum, my husband and my kids this year. We booked Christmas lunch at the venue we were staying at which gave me a break from the festive cooking!”

Carol said that this time of year is always a special time for her.

“I always spend Christmas with the family. There's always a meal, there are always gifts, specifically for the kids,” she said.

Carol said she was looking forward to ringing in the new year with her sister and her family in the Drakensberg.

“It’s a pure KZN festive season for me this year, and I'm so excited to explore this beautiful province this December," she said.

TV personality, actor, and businessman Maps Maponyane said he enjoyed time with family this Christmas.

“I remained in Joburg for a little while but am now heading off to different parts of the country to embrace the beauty of South Africa as much as possible, doing short lefts here and there and just get lost in it and get ready for the new year,” he said.

Reality TV star, media personality and DJ Eva Modika said she didn’t celebrate Christmas because of her religious beliefs.

“I was just home in Limpopo with my family. It was like a normal day for us. We always use the day to gather since we don’t spend most of the time together,” she said.
