POPULAR traditional healer and musician Zamokwakhe ‘King Bhaka’ Nzama is set to bring top musicians to his controversial dam to celebrate his birthday.
His controversial dam became a topic from last year when the locals alleged that a big lizard ate their cows, but Bhaka denied it.
King Bhaka has announced that he will celebrate his birthday with a big music festival called King Bhaka Music Festival at his home at Mid Illovo, KZN south coast on October 14.
He told Daily Sun this is the way to make the people of his village see their favourite in their dusty village.
“It will be the first time the village has a music festival of this nature, and as we are starting it this year, I want to host it every year when I celebrate my birthday. As I will be celebrating my birthday, I want people from my village and my fans to have a golden chance to see their favourite artists in their isolated village,” he said.

King Bhaka said he is developing his village in terms of entertainment as the village does not host festivals that bring celebs into the area.
“I want artists from our villages and nearby places, calling them Amabhenanyawo, to know that even if they don’t get booked in other places, they will be booked at home for my festival,” he said.
He said he has managed to book top artists like Khuzani, Igcokama Elisha, Bahubhe, Phuzekhemisi, Nyonemhlophe, Dlubheke, Amavikelambuos, Amageza Amahle, Ithwasa Lekhansela, Qhosha, Mbuseni, Ichwane Lebhaca, and Dladla Mshunqisi.
He said he would also bring Ukhozi FM presenters Tshatha Ngobe, Bheka Mchunu, Umkhokha: The Curse actors and Uzalo actors.
In April, he also hosted the festival at his home next to the dam, where he booked top artists like Babo Ngcobo, Sgwili, Qhosha, Lagxabha and many more.
