Maskandi star Mthandeni Manqele, who believes he is worth more now.

THE Umbuso Wamaciko Maskandi Festival has withdrawn the booking of controversial maskandi star Mthandeni Manqele, who recently made history.

This is after the self-proclaimed king of maskandi changed the initial booking fee of R150 000 with the festival and allegedly demanded to be paid R200 000.

Mthandeni made history by becoming the first maskandi musician to reach one million views within 12 days on YouTube with his song titled Paris, featuring Lwah Ndlunkulu on Monday, 21 August.
