RESIDENTS of Mbombela were treated to different cultures on Friday morning, 1 December as the 7th annual Mpumalanga Cultural Xperience festival kick started with a street carnival.
Different cultural groups engaged in music, dance and crafts as they paraded the streets of Mbombela.
The festival has become the provincial signature event which seeks to support small enterprizes and promote the province as a tourist destination of choice.
Tshiamo Matlala from Marapyane told Daily Sun that he participated in the carnival because he wants to learn more about the different cultures that Mpumalanga has.
"I believe this is a great opportunity for us to learn about other people's cultures. It's exciting and I hope in the next years more cultural groups will join us," he said.
