IT was a long and fun-filled night for Mzansi celebrities.
Dressed in glitz and glamour, scores of A-listers gathered at the Sandton Convention Centre, north of Joburg, to watch Minnie Dlamini get roasted.
The roasting was part of the Laugh Africa Comedy Festival, which runs until Sunday.
The show was hosted by heavyweight comedians Tumi Morake and Jason Goliath, who sat on the panel with seven other guests and took each other to the cleaners.
The panel included Youtuber Lasizwe, comedian Trevor Gumbi, newsreader Shahan Ramkissoon, comedian Celeste Ntuli, radio presenter Penny Lebyane, rapper Da L.E.S, actor Siv Ngesi and radio presenter Robert Marawa.
At the entrance to the venue, Lebani Sirenje, popularly known as Rasta, worked his artistic magic.
He said he came to also participate in the roasting.

"Some people say the painting looks like Minnie, others say she looks like Lillian Dube," Rasta said.
Minnie walked in with a group of dancers wearing Kaizer Chiefs jerseys. This prompted the panel to go even harder on her.
Most blamed her for her failed marriage and the allowance she pays to her ex-husband.
Panelists all agreed that Minnie Dlamini is talented.
"You fail at everything, Minnie, acting, hosting and marriage," they said.
The show ended after midnight as the audience left one-by-one.
Some said they'd have loved to stay until the end but had to travel far.
"It was a great show, but we have to go home and sleep," some said on the way out.
