METRO FM DJ and presenter Khanya “Kyeezi” Siyengo says music has always been his first love.
He said even though he loves music, radio found him.
The Eastern Cape-born and Cape Town schooled basketball lover is one of Mzansi’s most popular radio and media personalities. In 2023, he opened a luxury champagne lounge called Destiny with his three business partners.
The host of the Metro FM Top 30 said he didn’t think he'd be on radio.
“I’ve always loved music, and then I found a space where I can talk about music, and everybody loved it,” he said.

He said being on Metro FM is a dream come true.
“It’s crazy. I can’t describe it. Imagine just wanting to play music, and now you can play music for the whole country at the best stage,” he said.
He said fame means people appreciate what he does.
“That’s the most important thing for me, not the red carpet. If you enjoy what I do, I'm happy,” he said.
Kyeezi said he doesn’t see himself as a celebrity.
“I'm just a normal guy; I just happen to do this in front of people,” he said.
He told Daily Sun that although he's always behind the microphone, he never thinks about fame.
“I never think about it. I'm okay with people not knowing the face behind the voice. Just enjoying the vibe and the show. It’s not about me, it’s about the music,” he said.
