MZANSI media personality Nomalanga Shozi is taking over TV presenting.
She is back with a new season of BET’s Behind the Story that is coming to the screens soon.
The show entails Nomalanga (29) talking to renowned media personalities and learning more about their personal and professional lives.
She said viewers can expect the unexpected.
“It’s a brand new season with new cast members who are South African icons who’ve come to the show to give us a piece of their world, reflecting on their journey in whether it’s political or theatrical,” she said.
Nomalanga said viewers must expect a beautifully rounded conversation with media personality Dineo Ranaka from the first episode.
She said she had interviewed many personalities she grew up watching on TV.

“They are people I respect so much. When you are in a position of interviewing someone you look up to. Asking them questions that might come across as personal was challenging,” she said.
The presenter said her mother advised her not to talk about her personal experiences on the show.
“Before I started this season, I had a conversation with my mum. She was like her problem is that every time I talk to someone about something, I also share my experiences," she said.
"I usually do that because I want the person to be comfortable and open up more. I have to make a conscious decision to listen so much more this time around."
Nomalanga said that her favourite guest was Dineo Ranaka.
“I was blown away. She is absolutely mind-blowing. She’s so intelligent, intentional and precise. She didn’t waste my time, you know. What you see is what you get, and I got so much more than I could see,” she said.
