MEMBERS of maskandi group Amabhenanyawo have ironed out their differences and are preparing to release a second album.
The group was formed by KZN South Coast heavyweights Phuzekhemisi, Mbuzeni Mkhize, Ithwasa Lekhansela, Bahubhe, Mkhanyiselwa, Ichwane Lebhaca, and Nyonemhlophe in 2017 and their debut album, AkhuphulaUmkhomazi, received a warm welcome from music fans.
But some members became enemies and threw shade at each other on their solo projects.
One of the founders and maskandi legend, Phuzekhemisi, told Daily Sun they were back together.
“As the elder, I was hurt when our group collapsed and some of the members insulted each other on their solo albums,” he said.

“As solo artists from the South Coast, we decided to be united and formed a joint group in 2017 to put our area’s name on the map and show people that we are united,” he said.
Phuzekhemisi said he was happy that they had managed to resolve their issues and smoke the peace pipe.
“Now we are ready to go to the studio again,” he said.
“When the group was collapsing, we noticed music lovers were disappointed and asking us to iron out our differences.”
Mbuzeni said he had a fight with Inyonemhlophe after their album was released in 2017.

“Bahubhe and Ithwasa Lekhansela were also having a fight and insulting each other. Everything is sorted now,” he said.
Ichwane Lebhaca said even local traditional leaders intervened.
“Our local inkosi gave us a cow to see us united again and we respect him,” he said.
