MASANDI has released his new EP, Kaleidoscope.

The singer, songwriter and actor, whose real name is Sandile Mfusi, was raised in Durban, KZN.

He is known for featuring in the hit single One Time by rapper K.O and playing the role of Kwanda Buthelezi on SABC1 soapie, Uzalo.

Masandi recently released the seven-track EP, which merges praise and worship with new South African sounds.

Explaining the project, he said: “To me, Kaleidoscope means an instrument of light that has broken pieces and if you look inside, you will see its beauty. It is centered on giving people hope.

“It’s all about vibes and going with the flow. I have always liked to fuse sounds. It made sense sonically, when I put it together. It’s all about what resonates with me at that time. This EP puts a stamp into a sound I termed ‘Afropop-soul,’” said Masandi.

“It gives a message of hope and inspiration, that you can go through tough times but they always pass.”

He also said that he will be doing a tour called the Trust God Tour with Masandi, where he will be going to schools, universities and church in KZN in September.

He will also be doing a launch of the EP in October.
