LUKE Fleurs' father, Theo Fleurs, said he wants to look into the eyes of his son's killers.
Theo said he can't wait to see his son's killers appear in the Roodepoort Magistrates Court on Friday, 12 April.
He spoke during the celebration of his son's life at the FNB Stadium in Joburg on Thursday, 11 April.
"I just want to look them in the eyes and ask them why they did that. It is sad for us as a family," he said.
Among the big football stars at the memorial service were Kaizer Motaung Junior, Jessica Motaung, Bobby Motaung, David Notiane and Itumeleng Khune.
It was a very emotional day for the family and friends who gathered to celebrate the Kaizer Chiefs star Luke Fleurs (24).
Marketing Director at Kaizer Chiefs Football Club Jessica Motaung said this has been hard for them as Amakhosi.
"He was a happy soul and very lovely. He was also generous.

"His family meant everything to him. Let's remember the positive side," she said.
Jessica said this is not what they expected in their team.
"We need to all do right to change our country. Luke's situation and incident has shown us that our country isn't in a good state," she said.
"Luke was so loving, and we shared a lot as friends. I will always remember him for all the great moments we shared," Jesse Donn said.
"As a friend, I am saddened by his ultimate death. I even wrote a bible verse for him," he said.
Former coach of the national team under 23, David Notoane, said he was hurt when he heard the sad news.
"When I heard the news about his death. I was shocked and hurt. And I didn't think freedom would take many lives this way," he said.
He said he is happy that the Ubuntu Football Academy gave them great talent.
Speaking on behalf of Kaizer Chiefs players, Given Msimango said they always celebrate his life when they attend their football practice.
"Football is life, and he loved it so much. You could not tell if he was sad or not.
"I picked up that he was so loving. Luke Fleurs had an infectious relationship with us," he said.
The footballer will be buried on Saturday, 20 April, at his home in Mitchells Plain, Cape Town.
