AFRO-SOUL singer and songwriter Lira has shared some good news with Mzansi regarding her well-being.
The 44-year-old’s family recently announced that she had suffered a stroke while performing in Germany last month. The singer, whose real name is Lerato Molapo, took to Instagram to share that she was recovering well.
“Dear fam, thank you for your overwhelming love, support and prayers. I am recovering well,” she wrote.
Lira shared that the stroke had not affected any part of her body, except her speech.
“The stroke has unfortunately affected my speech. However, I am making lots of progress everyday,” she said.
The Feel Good hitmaker said she would be taking some time to focus on her recovery, and asked everyone to keep her in their prayers.

Lira said she could not wait to go back to doing music and performing.
Mzansi celebrities also showered her with some love on the social media platform.
Gospel singer Ntokozo Mbambo said: “Praying for your full recovery sis, lots of love.”
Afro-singer Naima Kay said God was always good, all the time.
TV producer and businesswoman Basetsana Kumalo wrote: “God bless you sweetheart. He’s got you in the palm of His hand.”
