LEGENDARY actor Mfana Jones Hlophe has returned to his roots.
The former Uzalo actor has gone back to theatre acting, where it all started for him back in 1987.
Hlophe, who has appeared on many top TV shows including Imbewu: The Seeds and Sarafina, told Daily Sun that he's now focusing on theatre work again.
A few years ago, he played the main character Zakhele on the most watched SABC1 show, Uzalo.
Hlophe from the Umlazi in Durban, KZN has written a new play called Fish out of H20, which deals with the challenges of democracy in Mzansi, and he stars in it alongside Vukani Dlamini.
The play will be shown at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, Eastern Cape, from June to July 2023.
