AFTER it was reported that Bhodloza Nzimande would be honoured at the Impucuzeko Maskandi Festival, his family was not happy.
And this was because the organisers did not first talk to them before announcing the news in public.
Now, the family of the late Ukhozi FM station manager has warned that no one should use Bhodloza’s name in their projects without talking to them or seeking their permission.
Apparently, organisers only informed the family about honouring Bhodloza after reading their post on Facebook, complaining about the matter.

Festival organiser Xolani Mcineka acknowledged the mistake and promised to never repeat it again.
“We were only excited about the project and went on to announce it in public without considering the family,” said Xolani.
Family spokesman Thelumusa Nzimande said they had to answer to other members who thought they knew about the project but had not informed them.
“We understand that our father was a people’s person, but he was still our family. We have every right to be aware of any project relating to him. No one should use his name without coming to the family first,” said Thelumusa.
