MANY musicians have started the year with a bang by creating magic in studio.
House music DJ and producer, whose real name is Thando Duma, has teamed up with Cici, JL SA and Murumba Pitch on her latest single titled Hamba Juba.
Lady Amar released it last week and it’s already topping the charts.
The 29-year-old told SunBuzz it was the right time to release this song.
The musician from Soweto, who was raised in Orange Farm, said she was happy the masses are loving it.
"I’m so excited about this one. This is my second single. I must say Hamba Juba has been topping the charts since its release date. People are receiving it so well," said Lady Amar.
The musician said this is her follow-up to her previous single titled Ekuseni, released back in 2017.

"Truly speaking, no one inspired me to do music. I’ve always been so passionate about it. I remember quitting my 9-5 job to pursue deejaying. I further went to Fuse Academy to do my deejaying lessons and that’s when I knew this is my love,” she said.
Lady Amar said she started making music back in 2015.
"I have worked with Mc Nhlaka and Lee Kay on Ekuseni. It was quite challenging when I started, but now I'm doing well,” she said.
Lady Amar said there’s more coming from her in the future.

"I always wanted to work with Cici and Murumba Pitch. Working with them was a dream come true,” she said.
Cici told the SunTeam she is happy with how the song is doing, so far.
"This is something fresh and Lady Amar told me that she always wanted to work with me,” she said.
The singer said this song is just her way of showing her versatility as an artist.
"Many of my fans have been saying I should have done amapiano a long time ago. Lady Amar has always been there for me and playing my music in her sets," Cici said.
