Gagasi FM has confirmed that gospel star and radio host Khaya Mthethwa has joined the station.

THE Durban-based commercial radio station Gagasi FM has confirmed that gospel star and radio host, Khaya Mthethwa, has joined the station.

Mthethwa, who has left Kaya959, will host a show from Monday to Friday from 12 noon to 3pm alongside DJ Sonic.

This was confirmed on Thursday, 30 March by Alex Mthiyane, head of audience experience at Gagasi FM. He announced only the weekday shows from 6am to 6pm and said the rest of the line up will be announced soon.

As Daily Sun previously reported, Felix Hlophe is not going anywhere. He will continue to do a breakfast show and will be joined by former East Coast Radio presenter and musician, Minnie Ntuli.

Njabs Zwane, who had been a co-host for nine years, will host the morning show from 9am to 12 noon.

The afternoon drive show from 3pm to 6pm remains unchanged with hosts Zisto, Heazy and Khaya Dladla.

Alex said they made these changes according to the wishes of their listeners because radio is a business.

“We design our show in such a way that will respond to the listeners and what they want, who is the presenter they want and the style of presentation," he said.

Alex said the additional line ups for the evening and weekend shows will be announced in due course.
