Afro-jazz singer Judith Sephuma is thrilled after she was chosen by world renowned artists to travel to Dubai for a performance.

The 48-year-old from Seshego in Limpopo has been invited by The Lion King composer Lebo Marake, known as Lebo M, and award-winning film composer Hans Zimmer to perform at the Hans Zimmer Live Special Concert. The shows will take place on 27 and 28 January at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. Judith said she felt honoured to be invited.

“It is always amazing to work along the greatest artists like Lebo and Zimmer.

“I think it’s every artist’s dream to get this opportunity,” said Judith.

She revealed Lebo M was asked to choose one African artist to perform with him on stage and he chose her.

“Rehearsing with him alone is a blessing. I’m very humbled by this. I don’t know what he saw in me that made him decide to choose me. But I’m glad he chose me,” said Judith.
