"I have been in the radio industry for 15 years, including corporate radio. My love for radio is a funny story because radio fell in love with me, it chose me. This was after I won a competition at a Voice of Tembisa to come and chill with show presenters. I think I took over the show. Little did I know that the station manager at the time, Portia Sangweni, was listening and she called me for an interview and the rest was history," she said.
Refiloe said she loves radio because it taught her selflessness. She said it was not about her but always about the listener.
"I was inspired by the likes of the late Eddie Zondie, whom I had the honour to speak to and share my passion with, Dineo Ranaka, Khabzela, and Unathi Nkayi. Unapologetically opinionated, their craft is implacable," she said.
The presenter said she was also a philanthropist and when she was not on air, she did motivational talks where she spoke to young girls in schools around the country.
She shared that she would be hosting at the much anticipated event of the year, the Durban July.
"I will be hosting The Durban July Soweto Disoufeng Marquee. I’m also a social media influencer and have worked with big brands," she said.
