POET Jessica Mbangeni has penned a befitting tribute to the late Don Mattera.

In her eulogy, she described Mattera as a present father who healed the wounds of absent fathers.

She also thanked him for supporting her projects.

She wrote: “I would not be where I am if you did not sing the Love Song of Azania. I remember you confronting the client, telling it as it is as they were trying to censor us for a project. You taught me to sleep restful nights by saying no to mediocrity. Tata, you supported the Feelasista by Lebogang Mashile, Napo Masheane and @Ntsiki Mazwayi.
