THERE'S still no judgment in popular author and motivational speaker Jackie Phamotse's case!

This after she appeared briefly in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Thursday, 17 November. The matter was postponed to Tuesday, 5 December.

The reason given for the adjournment was that they're still waiting for the report from her social worker.

Jackie was supposed to be sentenced on Tuesday, 14 November. On Tuesday 24 October, she was told at her appearance that she still had until 17 November to meet her bail conditions.

The state prosecutor said she was not allowed to meet or be in contact with the complainants.

This came after she was found guilty of defamation case against TV star Basetsana and her husband, Romeo Kumalo on Wednesday, 19 September.

Jackie was charged with two counts of crimen injuria, one count of criminal defamation and one count of contempt of court.

In August, state prosecutor Yusuf Baba said the constitutional right to dignity and privacy of Basetsana were infringed when Jackie allegedly tweeted in 2018 that there was a sex video involving the TV mogul and her husband with a celebrity boy.

The author was also ordered to remove all the statements on her social media platforms about the TV star. She was told if she didn't do that, she'd be bridging her bail conditions.

Jackie was also told to comply with these orders and if she didn't, she'd be arrested.
