IDOLS SA contestants took the Sunday show to church.
They were performing alongside Mzansi’s award-winning gospel group Joyous Celebration.
First to perform was Zee, opening with Hurt by Christina Aguilera.
Noxolo followed with Wish You Were Here by Simmy.
Ty Loner did a rendition of Michael Jackson’s Rock With You.
Nozi also joined the top six and she sang One Night Only by Jennifer Hudson.

Mpilwenhle made the crowd go crazy with Man in the Mirror by Michal Jackson. Thapelo closed the first part of the show with Whitney Houston’s classic, I Look To You.
Kabelo said goodbye to the Idols show after being eliminated.
In the second part of the show, Zee sang Zuliphathe Kahle with Joyous Celebration.
Somizi said she sounded mature: “You killed it. You were flawless and I liked it.”
Thembi said she is versatile.
JR said she was in her element.
Noxolo sang Joyous Celebration’s My Help.
Thembi said she admires her calmness.
“I want you to carry this and don’t forget it. You have a deep connection with gospel songs.”
Somizi said she must go and find something to make her memorable.
Ty Loner made the audience sing along to Who Am I by Joyous Celebration.
JR said he was out of pocket and he’s worried about him, while Somizi said he has star quality but he needs to learn to stay on key and practise his vocals.
Nozi performed Wenzile with Joyous Celebration and Somizi said: “Nozi, you can sing man.”
Thembi said it was her night. “You pay attention to each detail.”
JR said she can hardly do anything wrong at this point.
Mpilwenhle followed with an emotional performance of Ndenzel’ Uncedo Hymn 377.
Thembi said she enjoyed every bit of the performance, and Somizi gave her the “whoo shem”.

Closing the show was Thapelo and Joyous Celebration with Hallelujah Nkateko, and he impressed the judges.
“I need to find a ‘whoo, shem!’” said Somizi as he handed Thapelo his third of the night.
