Ladysmith Black Mambazo is hoping to scoop an Oscar.

FIVE-time Grammy winners Ladysmith Black Mambazo are now after the biggest awards in TV and film. 

Their documentary, Music Is My Life by Joseph Shabalala and Ladysmith Black Mambazo, has been submitted as the official South African entry for the 96th Annual Academy Awards, also known as Oscars.  

This means they will be considered to be nominated for an Oscar.
