GOSPEL singer Sbu Banda is no longer available to mingle as he is now a married man.
Sbu, who got married in December 2022, said he proposed to his wife Mahlako during the SABC Crown Gospel Awards in 2022.
"I am no longer a bachelor. I am happily married and doing the work of God. The reason I proposed in public was to make it special for her and to tell the whole world that I'm proud that she is my wife," he said.
He said he and his wife were together for more than six months before they got married. "We got married traditionally and are still thinking about doing a white wedding. I want to give my wife her dream wedding.
"My wife is reserved, humble, prayerful and loves God. She loves and respects me. Being married is beautiful. I now have extra hands, brains and help. It's good to get married and I'm excited about it," he said.
Sbu said his marriage has silenced suspicions and unnecessary things. He said if one is single in the gospel industry, it's like they are untrustworthy.

"I prayed for my marriage and waited on God. I wanted to start a family, be happy and focus on building a family, a ministry and my music," he said.
Mahlako told Daily Sun: "I'm happy to find a man of God as I'm a woman of faith. God has blessed me with a God-loving man."
Sbu said that God has also blessed him with a single called Sine Gama/Nanti Gama, which was released on 7 April 2022.
"I am currently pushing the new single. I will be in studio working on an album that will be out at end of the year. I am fulfilled by releasing gospel songs with good messages," he said.
