CONTEMPORARY gospel, praise and worship singer Gershom Ntimane (39) is over the moon.
He's been nominated in the Crown Gospel Music Awards, and said it was an unbelievable and awesome feeling.
"It's one of the best things that has ever happened to me this year of 2023. Being in the Crown Gospel Music Awards' main event, which will be held at FNB Stadium, is a dream come true. Indeed, it's a new season for my ministry and my music journey," he said.
The singer said he worked hard during the course of the year in preparation for the awards by writing new songs and trying his best to produce a big song that will be among the greats in gospel.
"Being recognised by Crown Gospel Music Awards has helped me see that I'm valued and that my contribution has a positive impact in the gospel music industry and the overall music lovers in this country," he said.
Gershom from Mbombela in Mpumalanga said he wants to give glory to God.
He said his second live recording was recorded on 16 September 2023 and the album is called The Jesus I Have Touched.

"I'm looking forward to coming back home with few if not all awards. I've also been nominated in the Mpumalanga Gospel Music Awards for the following categories, Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Gospel Live Recording and Best Producer. I'm looking to end 2023 on a high level as I prepare for the tours of the Jesus I Have Touched in 2024."
He is finalising the post production of the whole album, which is planned to be released in February 2024. Furthermore, he's busy promoting his new single Jeso o Tshepehile.
"I'll continue to write songs and inspire people to praise God in all circumstances. They can follow my music in all digital platforms," he said.
Furthermore, they can follow me at my local church Next Level Exploration Ministries in Mbombela.
His producer Bongane Nkosi said Gershom has written a number of great songs that attracted many people to follow his music ministry.
"I feel honoured to have worked with him for more than 10 years. He is humble, dedicated, disciplined, a perfectionist in his work ethic and has a good heart. I believe he still has a lot to offer in the music industry. People must be ready to be revived by his upcoming album called The Jesus I Have Touched, which has 19 songs, where he featured Bishop Benjamin Dube, Mnqobi Nxumalo, Sbu Banda, Baba Mbatha, Nqobile Nkosi, Kabelo Mjone, Nomandla Sandra, as well as Sinethemba 'Sne' Hlengetwa," said Nkosi.
He said the Crown Gospel Music Awards will be at FNB Stadium on 26 November 2023.
