Gospel musician Sphamandla "Bigman" Mkhize believes now is the time to escalate everything to God.
The 37-year-old from Umlazi, Durban, released his third album titled Lula Isandla Sakho, calling for God's divine intervention in addressing social ills.
Sphamandla told Daily Sun it's time for Mzansi to come closer to God.
“I stay in Umlazi and it's sad to hear about people being shot dead and stabbed every day. Through the song, I invite God to lay his hands on us and intervene in everything the country is going through,” he said.

Sphamandla, who worships at Supernatural Platform Ministries at Umbilo, Durban, said his music is a reflection of the teachings of the Bible.
The gospel musician's music career started in 2003 when he was a back-up singer for various musicians. In 2023, he released his debut album titled Wayekhona uJesu.
He said he chose gospel because it gets him to spread the gospel.
“I once sang kwaito, but changed to gospel music to preach because I grew up in church.”
He calls himself Bigman because he believes he'll one day become a well-known gospel musician.
