COMEDIAN and actor Moshe Ndiki will be joining Mzansi Magic popular telenovelaGomora.

He will be playing the role of down-and-out teacher Andile Faku, who was previously at a private school.

His new role will debut on 20 May.

Announcing the news, the channel said new characters joining the third season would bring drama galore.

“With season 2 of multi-award-winning telenovela Gomora ending on a bloody cliffhanger, season 3 follows one of the show’s lead characters as she goes down a destructive path. The drama won’t be in short supply, and adding to it are five new characters joining the series,” it said.

Andile’s life was ruined by gambling, and he lost his lavish Sandton life and cushy private school job. He thinks his new gig is beneath him, but his sense of humour makes him hard to dislike.

Four other actors will be joining the series as lead actor Zolisa Xaluva (principal Melusi Dlamini) has exited the show, namely Aubrey Makola, Tiisetso Thoka, Jessica Sithole and Fezile Makhanya.

Aubrey will play Duncan Leballo, a wealthy record executive who likes young girls, and has already made his debut. Tiisetso, who plays June-July, is the son of late Bra Mike (Silas Monyatsi). He is coming to Gomora for revenge after finding out that mam Sonto (Connie Chiume) killed him, and makes his debut on 16 May. Jessica will play Nolo Makinta, a failed slay queen traumatised by all the things rich men have put her through. And Fezile will play Nkosinathi Cele, a charmer who can talk his way out of anything. He is taking over from Melusi, and is an authoritarian who clashes with parents.

Catch Gomora on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161), weekdays at 7.30pm.
