GO-EXPLO’s newest album is their best one yet.
The album titled Chapter 5: The Dawn Of Revival was released last month and will officially launch on 9 September at the Grace Mission Church International in Centurion, and they promise that it’ll change lives.
The choir, made up of 23 members, is from Polokwane in Limpopo.
Founder Kenny Shibambu spoke to Daily Sun about the album and launch.
“We have a nine-piece band that will perform with us on the day. We have pulled out all the stops to ensure that our fifth album is the best one yet. There are fresh songs which we believe will revive the nation, not just the church. We are expecting a double portion of the anointing on the day.
“The songs are unique, and we also decided to bring experienced artists to work with our new talent. Gospel Silinda, Mabongi, Lebohang Kgapola and Chairo joined us on this project because we wanted a mentorship and skills transfer programme. That was important because they learnt a lot from that. They will be there at the launch, and Cent Twinz, Innocent Sadiki and Millicent Mashile will be the MCs,” he said.
Kenny said this album will change people.

“This album is different. We created a new sound. And we named it called The Dawn Of Revival because every song is a revival. People can expect to be truly brought closer to God. There’s no way you can play the songs and be the same. The songs and lyrics have got so much life and are reviving. A few songs such as Ufanelwe Udumo, We Give You Glory and Sovereign God. Anyone who listens, I bet you, they will get something,” he said.
The choir is also celebrating 17 years this year.
“When we started, we started as a developmental project looking to discover talent, polish it, then expose it. Then we grew to become more established until where we are now. But we continue to give young talent an opportunity, Kenny said.
