RAPPER and songwriter Gigi Lamayne (27) has shed some light on depression and how certain situations can trigger it.
The rapper, whose real name is Genesis Manney, wrote about it on Twitter on Friday, 24 June.
This after she shared that Twitter is such a dark space on Wednesday, 22 June.
She wrote: “That’s the thing with depression. When you’re low, you’re super low.”

The rapper added: “All it takes is a trigger. Pain, rejection, loss... then you’re in it and getting out is a struggle.”
In 2019, the musician shared how she suffered from depression and ended up in hospital after trying to take her own life.
Gigi Lamayne shared how she had been experiencing bullying on social media platforms which triggered her when it came to her mental health.
Last year, the rapper released a single titled All Shades. The song aimed to educate people about mental health. The song was well received by her fans.
