DURING the Covid-19 pandemic, Master KG’s hit Jerusalema became a global anthem and a beacon of hope.
As millions of people did the dance challenge across the world and Master KG became an internationally known artist.
On this week’s episode of Famous Friday, he talks about his life since the track became a global hit.
“I’d say a lot of things have changed.
“There’s been a lot of growth and a lot of travelling,” he said.
Master KG said he was excited to share the news that his new single features an international artist.
“I’m dropping a brand-new single with my brother Joeboy from Nigeria.
“I love his music and I’ve always thought if I get a chance, I’d like to put him on a song with me,” he said.
Master KG said the name of the song is Laleyi, which means “tonight” in the Nigerian language Yoruba.

When asked when he would be releasing a new album, he said: “One of my weaknesses as an artist is making an album.
“I’m still trying to be that person who releases a full body of work.
“I’m not really that artist who releases albums but I see it’s what people want, so I’m working on it.”
Master KG won the Best Male Southern Africa award at the African Muzik Magazine Awards held at Gilley’s Dallas in Texas, USA, on 19 November.
Master KG said he believes that a bit of luck and the creative use of social media can get you far.
“I’m currently working on the album, which will drop in February.”“I’m also working on my label Wanitwa Mos Entertainment, which is a year old today,”
When the SunTeam asked him what he does to relax, Master KG said: shared his down-time secret. “I’m more of a house person, so I just chill at home and watch movies and TV.”
