THE founder and host of Podcast and Chill, Macgyver Mukwevho, has paid lobola.

Macgyver, also known as MacG, celebrated his lobola on Saturday, 9 December with his wife Naledi Monamodi and their families.

The 35-year-old proposed to his long-term partner Naledi Monamodi at a ceremony at the Sun Bet Arena in Tshwane in July.

When his co-hosts asked him what it was like, he said it was wild.

"They told us to be there at 5am. My whole family from Venda drove and we were there at 5am," he said.

He said it took them four hours to negotiate.

"It was a fight between the two families, but it’s about our relationship," MacG said.

He said the amount for lobola was fair.

"It was fair because I gave her two kids, you know. They said your son just did everything there," he joked.

He said his friends came to support him.

"Shoutout to everyone who came. My friends from high school were there too," MacG said.

He said when he got there, he was fined for not wearing a jacket.

"In the picture that’s on social media of me and my wife, I am wearing my uncle’s jacket. I had a chillas party the night before and was hanging out there," he said.

MacG previously shared on the podcast that Naledi turned down his proposal because she was too young for marriage.
