YOUTUBER and podcaster Hungani Ndlovu has ventured into music.

The former Scandal! actor shared the news with his fans on Instagram, saying he’s ready to get booked and rock parties.

The 29-year-old from Polokwane in Limpopo told Daily Sun: “I’ve always loved music because of my passion for dance.

“In 2019, I was dancing for a duo called Easy Freak, and I also started deejaying at performances after doing a short course, but then Covid happened.”

Hungani said he started making mixes and putting them on YouTube for family and friends. When the lockdown ended, he signed up for another DJ course and is now ready to show the world his skills.

“I won’t say it was always my dream, but I believe music plays a vital role in our lives.

“You could have a bad day and just listening to your favourite song can change your mood,” he said.

Hungani said he has already been booked for two performances and has received some enquiries. “I haven’t done much promoting yet, so I’m excited to see how things progress now that I’m more vocal about it,” he said.

When asked if he’d still be on Mzansi’s screens, he said fans could expect more of him. “I’m currently on newly-released Netflix movie uThando Lwethu, and I’m on season three of uBettina Wethu, coming to SABC3 next month,” he said.

Hungani said he was also working with his wife to release a short film called LoveLocked

His advice to the youth is that they should use social media to put themselves out there and find internships or job shadowing programmes to learn more.
