DJ Mo Flava scores first acting gig!

METRO FM breakfast show host Mo Flava has ventured into acting.

He is set to make his debut on season three of SABC1’s uBettina Wethu on Monday, 13 February.

The comedy show also features Lilian Dube, Tsholo Mashishi, Hungani Ndlovu, Lunga Shabalala and Kamogelo Molatlhoe, who plays the role of Bettina.

It’s Mo’s first acting gig and he plays the resident DJ in the series.

Speaking to Daily Sun, Mo, whose real name is Moeti Tsiki (38), said people would see a different side to him.

“As a first timer, it was quite fun to play the resident DJ, a role I am very familiar with.

“However, viewers will get to see a lighter, fun side of me they have not experienced before,” he said.

Kamogelo said she was excited about the new season as the writers had dug deeper into Bettina’s life.

“The story is relatable and for me, it deals with themes that talk to the audience and the challenges they face daily. It wants to navigate through with them,” she said.

Show producer Tshepiso Chikapa-Phiri said they wanted to tell authentic stories this season.
