FORMER Big Brother Mzansi contestant Nthabiseng Mothutsi has retired from netball.
The 30-year-old from Seshego in Limpopo said she will no longer play netball but will teach young people about the sport.
The former Limpopo Baobabs captain will not be part of the team that will represent the province in the upcoming 2024 Telkom Netball League.
Nthabiseng told Daily Sun that her journey was full of ups and downs like any other field. She said she enjoyed every minute of it an learned the ins and outs of the sport.
"My journey in netball, just like every other journey, had its fair share of good and bad. From back-to-back knee surgeries to persevering until the day my team won that league title and being promoted to the A division," she said.
Nthabiseng said all these years have been fantastic.
"I’ve been playing netball since the age of 10 and stepped up as a [semi] professional or elite athlete eight years ago when I got to University of Pretoria," she said.

Nthabiseng said she's currently in Saudi Arabia for some time, giving back to sport by developing netball.
She said she has a lot of plans and doesn't like to overshare them until they happen. "I don’t talk about my plans. God literally orders my steps.
"My message to every young person is to know your strengths and master them. And don’t be apologetic about them," she said.
Nthabiseng has played more than 100 games for the Baobabs between 2016 and 2023 and was one of the top players. In 2022, she was part of Big Brother Mzansi alongside Themba Mabaso, Mpho Wa Badimo and Thato Mokoena.
