iWEEKEND enkulu is finally here and amapiano musician Focalistic (27) is ready to hit the stage.

The Khekheleza hitmaker, whose real name is Lethabo Sebetso, is set to perform at the South African music and lifestyle festival Rocking the Daisies on Friday, 17 November in Cape Town.

The annual festival that attracts thousands of music lover will be taking place from 17 to 19 November at the Cloof Wine Estate, Darling in Cape Town and at the SuperSport Park, Centurion in Pretoria.

This year Focalistic will share the stage with international acts such as Stormzy, J.I.D and Mzansi's very own local gems Sun El Musician, Kamo Mphela and Samthing Soweto.

Returning to this prominent stage for the second consecutive year, Focalistic promises an "energetic thrill" for his fans.

“People can expect energy both high and low. It’s an emotional journey. I think the best way to explain it is that it's going to be an energetic roller coaster taking you throughout the catalogue and the different time capsules the catalogue embodies,” he said.

Focalistic has played a massive role in the amapiano genre, producing hits such as Baja Ko Pele, Ke Star, and Tiya Mfana, earning him the title President Ya Straata.

“It’s a great honour to be recognised as one of the countries established. My purpose over the years has evolved from trying to be the best or the biggest artist to realising that it entails being locked into your craft. Right now, I'm at the peak of being locked into my craft and I'm more sensitive about the music, about performance. Every piece of content you see is now more directed to ensure that it inspires,” he said.

Focalistic told Daily Sun that the secret to staying at the top of his game is being himself and allowing his background to tell his story.

“I've never tried to be anyone else. Whatever genre I’m doing, people are always sure that they're getting the Focalistic they know,” he said.

Aside from the musical performances, Rocking The Daisies will also host a range of activations from food, fashion, art and more.
