MTHATHA Summer Fest has been cancelled.
According to the organiser, Mist SA, they had to cancel because all the musicians they wanted to book are unavailable for the 27th of December.
They already had Somizi, Vusi Nova and Mafikizolo on their line-up, and the event already had a lot of hype on social media.
Mist SA made the announcement via a statement.
“It is with great sadness that we inform you of the cancellation of the 1st annual Mthatha Summer Fest which was to be held on 27 December in Mthatha,” read the statement.

The organiser said they wanted the event to be world class but because they couldn’t do that, they decided to cancel.
“The cancellation is due to the fact that none of the headline artists we had planned to bring are available on the specified date. Our aim was to bring you a world class show, high-end production and top tier hospitality with a star-studded line-up but due to the said availability challenges, it became clear that our plans of delivering a spectacular event were greatly compromised and it would be wiser to cancel this year’s show and plan a better one next year – giving value for your money,” he said.
