WOMEN who are doing well in their respective fields were awarded for their hard work during the Sebenza Women Awards which were held at Durban ICC on Friday, 6 October.
Singer Siphesihle Zulu was awarded the Best Women in Music Award, Umkhokha actress Deli Malinga was awarded the Best Women in Media Award, while Vuma FM presenter Jacinta Ngobese was awarded the Social Media influencer of the Year Award.
Deli, who was recently awarded her first Safta for Best Supporting Actress in a Telenovela for her role as MaNgema on Redemption, said she's celebrating 30 years in the acting industry this year and she's happy to win her second award in a row.
“It's been a long journey in my acting industry without accolades and I appreciate the support I get from TV viewers. I’m a true example that people must not doubt God and must wait for good things to happen. God is in charge” she said.

Siphesihle said she's happy to win her first award.
“I'd like to thank all who believe in me and voted for me to win this award. It means a lot to me. I'd also like to thank my family, the Zulu family and the support of the Dludla family, which I'm married into,” she said.
Jacinta also thanked all those who voted for her.
“I thank all the people who believe in me, defended me and stood by me in good or bad times. I thank Lloyd Myeza for contributing money to the votes.
“I remain truly humbled by the love and support you guys constantly give me. May the good Lord bless you all in abundance. I thank you. Words aren't enough,” she said.
