THERE will be no rest for entertainment, fashionistas, and horse lovers in KZN as they have back-to-back events in July.
Dundee July handicap was launched on Tuesday, 27 June, and will be at Endumeni horse racecourse in Dundee, northern KZN on 15 July.
This year Dundee July is themed African Royalty and is expected to be attended by many top celebrities and fashionistas.
The rural handicap was started in 2005 by locals and grew to attract people outside KZN.
The spectacular event is organised in collaboration with the KZN Department of Sport, Art and Culture and Umzinyathi District Municipality.
Uzalo actor Tha Simelane, who was part of the launch, said people should expect more from him.
“People know me for my unique fashion, and this year will be the same. But I will add many flavours to my fashion under the event theme.
“I have never disappointed people when it comes to fashion and will not disappoint them this time," he said.

More than 300 horses will participate, and many fashionistas will also be part of the event.
The number of patrons is expected to exceed the 2022 turnout of 25 000.
MEC for Sport, Art, and Culture, Dr Ntuthuko Mahlaba, said the main race event will feature 12 races, including two women's races.
“The day will end with two international events. This feature is being introduced for the first time under the theme ‘Umtelebhelo We Africa’.
“The day also features choreographed live fashion shows. Dundee July Experience is a night event which features up-and-coming artists and professional artists," Mahlaba said.
He said that they are all set for the experience yet and can't wait for 15 July.
