MEDIA personalities MacG and Jub Jub’s controversial podcast broadcast last week have left many people upset.

One of the many South Africans the episode offended was media personality and businessman, DJ Sbu.

During the interview, Jub Jub asked MacG if he liked gay people and if he was good with them.

MacG responded that he’d date them to show he’s not homophobic.

“I’m friends with a lot of gay people, Somizi, DJ Sbu there’s a lot you know,” he told Jub Jub.

Jub Jub asked if he’d just mentioned DJ Sbu and they burst out laughing. Afterwards, MacG said he was joking.

DJ Sbu posted a snippet of the video about him and asked: “MacG Jub Jub is this how you thank me my brothers?”

In January, MacG, his co-host SolPhenduka and their podcast got into hot water with the LGBTQI+ community after they made transphobic comments and referred to transgender females as “shemales”.

They have since apologised and launched an LGBTQI+ podcast hosted by radio presenter Bujy Bikwa.
