DISNEY is set to celebrate its 100th birthday here in South Africa.
The celebration is set to take place in April and it is promising a magical event full of surprises.
The concert is confirmed to take place at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Joburg for two days – 7 to 9 April.
Fans of Disney can expect to see films from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel and performances by The Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra live in concert.
Speaking about the event, Glenn van Loggerenberg, executive producer for Don’t Look Down, the company producing it, said this show is one of a kind.

“Disney 100- The Concert will truly be a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of. This is the first ever show to combine classic Disney material with a variety of big screen highlights from Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel, and to enjoy the thrill of it being performed live in concert by The Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra in perfect sync with your best-loved on-screen characters,” he said.

He continued to say they aren’t just celebrating 100 years.
“This upcoming special edition of the popular global concert series dedicates itself to a journey that celebrates 100 years of adventure, 100 years of emotions, and 100 years of Disney music magic,” he said.
