THINGS are heating up as the Bula Sekele season three finale comes closer.
The dancing competition finale will be on 9 December at Zone 6 Venue in Soweto, where the top 13 is set to battle it out.
R200 000 is up for grabs and the finalists will be judged by dancer and choreographer Tom London, Bula Sekele season one winner Tylor Spelman and award-winning choreographer Sbo Ndaba.
Actress and TV presenter Ntando Duma will be hosting the event, with performances by Pabi Cooper, Emtee and Daliwonga.
Tom, who is also the leader of Soweto’s Finest, spoke to Daily Sun about his expectations from the finalists.
“I'm expecting to see prime-time entertainment at the Bula Sekele season three finale. The finalists will have to entertain the masses, cope with whatever challenges we throw their way and demonstrate versatility. Energy, performance, presence and, obviously, outstanding choreography are all crucial. That’s essentially what I'm expecting on that day,” he said.

He said they are happy with the top 13 they chose and have faith that they'll bring out their best dance moves.
“I think some of our finalists will bring the house down and give us an amazing show. We’ve chosen finalists who will be able to hold it down for the night and bring their best to win the grand prize.
“Some of the finalists still have work to do to bring their best in performance delivery, choreography, and energy levels on 9 December. It'll be crucial for them to connect with the music and understanding when to hit and when not to hit. The entertainment level needs to reach unprecedented heights. We have no doubt they’ll be able to translate their love and passion for dance into the best performance of their lives,” Tom said.
The dancer said he can't wait to crown the winner.
“I’m looking forward to the big day and the extreme Bula Sekele season finale, and crowning season three's winner,” he said.
There will also be a People’s Choice Award and the winner will walk away with R50 000 in cash.
