POLICE officer Thapelo Molomo is rocking the Idols SA stage.

The 29-year-old warrant officer, stationed in Brits, North West as a psychologist at the SAPS employee health and wellness, has taken the Idols SA season 18 by storm with his flamboyant vocal talent and extravagant performance.

The police officer, who hails from Diretsaneng village near Mokopane, Limpopo, has made his way through to the top seven of the competition.

Thapelo joined the SAPS last year and part of his duties include offering trauma debriefing, counselling and other employee health and wellness-related issues.

SAPS said he had great passion for music, which was the driving force behind his participation in the competition.

His success has been attributed to the support he has received from his colleagues and family as well as his humility and focus.

SAPS said: “We wish Thapelo the best of luck on his Idols SA journey.”
